Where it all began:

Wonder Club was founded from a place of lived experience, shaped by both professional dedication and personal intention.

The founder, Maranda Cruz, began her career as a live-in nanny, where she quickly recognized that childcare is never simply a role; it is trust, presence, and crafting the little moments that make a big difference. That understanding deepened profoundly when she became a mom.

With the arrival of her first daughter, Mya Cruz, she decided to remain at home and invite other families' children in, creating an environment rooted in care, consistency, and connection. She approached those early years with the same level of thoughtfulness and intention that defines truly exceptional childcare, an experience that would later become the foundation of The Wonder Club.

Over the years, Maranda's family grew alongside her work. She has been married for over 20 years to a deeply supportive husband, and together they have built a full, vibrant family: three daughters, one son, and three bonus children. This season of raising a large, dynamic household further shaped her understanding of what families truly need: flexibility, reliability, and care that feels like an extension of home.

Mya became both the inspiration and the “why,” a constant reminder of the impact that nurturing, attentive care has on a child’s development and sense of security, but beyond this personal motivation, The Wonder Club was also born from firsthand knowledge of a broader need: the need for exceptional, committed care that is reliable, nurturing, and tailored to each family.

As Mya grew and began building a life of her own, their journey came full circle. Today, they are building The Wonder Club together, blending over two decades of hands-on childcare experience with a fresh, modern perspective. We provide boutique childcare solutions for families who want more than a sitter; they want a trusted partner in their child’s everyday life.

After more than 20 years in the industry, one truth has remained constant: this work is deeply personal, and it deserves to be approached with intention.
