OUR PROCESS

01

Apply to Join the Club

Start by submitting your application so we can learn about your experience, qualifications, and what type of household environment you thrive in.

03

Video Interview

Qualified candidates advance to a video interview where we explore:

  • Your approach to childcare and daily routines

  • Problem-solving and household scenarios (e.g., handling challenging behaviors, balancing light household tasks, supervising multiple children)

  • Fit with Wonder Club values and commitment

  • Experience and preferences regarding position type, including:

    • Willingness to travel for employment and with family

    • Specialties (infants, toddlers, multiple children, special needs)

    • Family Compatibility questions

This conversation ensures alignment between your skills, experience, and the families we serve.

05

Candidate Presentation & Interviews

Your profile is presented to matched families. You may participate in up to three interviews, which can include other household staff and family members.

We guide both you and the family throughout the process to ensure clarity, confidence, and the best fit.

07

Offer & Review

If you pass all checks, you’ll receive an offer from the family. Support includes:

  • Reviewing the employment offer

  • Discussing compensation, benefits, and expectations

  • Preparing for a smooth transition into the household

09

Onboarding & Support

After signing, we provide guidance for a smooth start, resources for professional growth, and ongoing support to ensure long-term success.

02

Initial Screening Call

We’ll schedule a short call to:

Review your experience and certifications (CPR/First Aid, education, childcare experience)

  • Discuss your availability, position type preference (live-in/out, short-term/long-term)

  • Assess comfort level with household responsibilities and pets.

  • Learn about the Wonder Club mission and expectations.

If it feels like a great fit, you’ll move to the next step.

04

Documentation & Verification

Before your profile is shared with families, we’ll collect:

  • Education and professional certifications

  • CPR/First Aid documentation

  • References (professional and personal)

This ensures all candidates meet our high standards before being presented to families.

06

Family Selection & Background/DMV Checks

Once a family selects you as their preferred candidate:

  • Comprehensive background check (criminal history, employment verification, safety screenings)

  • DMV check (for safe driving record, if relevant)

  • Foundations of Child Care Training

  • Potential drug test, if requested by the family.

These checks happen after selection but before finalizing the hire to ensure safety and trust without delaying family decision-making.

08

Final Video Call & Agreement

Clarifying role details, discussing or negotiating the employment agreement, signing the contract, and preparing for onboarding.
